Currently my favorite outfit to go tromping around it. Cute and girly, but still a bit rough and tumble. (I have been bitten by the steampunk bug. Help!)

Stipend - 09/14/08: Back to School
I was one of those kids that always liked school, so every fall I get fierce pangs of longing when I hear about classes starting and see all the aisles of school supplies in the stores. I'll probably cave in and go back at some point, but right now I have other priorities.
However, just because I'm missing out on classes, that doesn't mean I have to miss out on a new back-to-school wardrobe! Featured on this week's (month's!) stipend blowout is Sn@tch's 'Way 80s Sweater Dress' in army green. Warm enough to keep out the early evening chill, cool enough to intimidate freshmen and cut class without a second thought, it's a fall essential.
Also check out the moving sale at Frangipani - marked down clothes, and the hair is only $20L a pop!
Shopping:
Hair: Frangipani - Simone in blood ($20L)
Dress: Sn@tch - Way 80s Sweater Dress in army ($200L)
Shirt: Artilleri - I <3 You tanktop (group gift - not avail.)
Stockings: Canimal - Torn Socks in black
Shoes: Shiny Things - Old Lace-up Boots in black
Glasses: Artilleri - Greta in black
Tattoo: Sn@tch - Bang Bang

Stipend - 08/03/08: Ooh, color.
This week I blew my stipend on the Angie dress from Dutch Touch. What I love about DT is that often the outfits will come with extra pieces so that you can switch up what you're wearing. In today's example, the dress came with three extra tops on the jacket layer (as well as the basic top on the shirt layer!) I went in for the olive green set, but I think the ad said something about there being 13 color variations, and I KNOW I saw a bright pink set as well as a tasty rust-colored one. Sets range from $250-$300 depending on the quantity of extras.
Shopping:
Dress: Dutch Touch - Angie in Olive Green ($275)
Shoes: Shiny Things - Belles in Black and Acid
Hair: Shop Seu - Fuafua hair in Apricot Brown (dyed)
Skin: GP - Scene in Opaline

Ruth knows nothing about detonating dirigibles.
Ruthie is distressed that you would even accuse her so.

Stipend - 03/15/2008: Mix and Match
So after a short absence of about a month filled with such happy things as crashed hard drives and missing Photoshop disks, we're back with a mess of things that we blew our stipend on this time.
(Apologies on the crap picture quality. It's me and the Gimp until the ps disk turns up again.)
In any event, I had $1500L to play with and you can actually get quite a bit of nice things for that.
First off, note that I am pretending to be Snow White over on the right side of the picture. Yes, ladies and gents, Dee eschewed her beloved red hair and went dark to play dress-up. The dress is the 'Robyn' in blue/gold from Savvy? and will run you $200L. It's available on other assorted bright colors, but I personally enjoy looking like I escaped a Disney film, or a box of Crayolas.
In the center, I'm wearing Thimbles' 'Luba at the Duty Free Shop' skirt. Can I say that I've been really loving Thimbles lately? I've gotten some really sharp tops from there, and their Valentine's Day '::heart:: Your Mom' t-shirt giveaway is just MADE of win. Anyway, the Luba skirt comes with a couple of sash variations in black and red, and runs $100L.
Also being worn by center Dinah is Artilleri's 'Lily' skin in *Rawr*. I've been so focused on the clothes and the glasses (OMG THE GLASSES) from Artilleri, I totally missed the skins until recently. I love the orange-y lipstick in particular. Artilleri skins are an outright steal at only $600L each.
Left-side Dinah is wearing ETD's 'Layered Henley' in Celery and it sells for $75L. It's perfect for those days when you just want to bum around and still look put-together. ETD clothes are awesome in that you can demo the clothes before you buy them. I know this would have saved me many a sad purchase if more designers offered this option.
On everyone's feet are newly acquired Shiny Things shoes. They run $300L a pair and are frankly my favorite shoes on the grid. L&R Dinah are wearing 'MaryGeos' in brown and red, and Middle Dinah is wearing 'Classic Stacks' in black.
(This is not technically breaking my $1200L bank as I picked up two pairs of the shoes when ST had their half-price sale, which has sadly ended, and I already had the red ones, but ymmv.)
